Kids like to teach, it's official!
Now don't get me wrong, but I'd have thought the LAST thing on a young girls mind after a busy day at school is to play the teacher. Well, despite what you might think, extensive research by UbiSoft has shown otherwise. In fact, one of the games of choice for young girls involves a chalk board and class room full of dolls... That just shows what I know!
“We are constantly conducting research with young girls in order to be completely up to date with their passions and lifestyles so that we are launching games that will be of interest to them,” UbiSoft brand manager Sally Cormack says.
“During our research, being a teacher came out as one of the top careers that young girls would like to have so we have high expectations for this release. The game itself is fantastic with hugely varied gameplay and a compelling story. It has beautiful graphics and the capacity to teach as well as be fun.”

Imagine Teacher Overview
Imagine Teacher starts by giving you the responsibility of looking after four little pupils on the very first day of a new term. Your surroundings are unfamiliar as you're a brand new teacher in a newly constructed school.
Before stepping into the classroom, you must first schedule the week's lessons. A weekly calendar appears on the touch screen along with each of the game's ten subjects. Assigning a subject to a time slot is as simple as tapping it with the stylus.
A seating diagram must also be drawn up, so naughty pupils don't sit together. Descriptions on each student's profile indicate their unique characteristics.
Your ongoing task when playing Imagine Teacher is to build the size of you class. Talented teaching with a friendly atmosphere will quickly draw more students into your classroom. However it wont be easy, there's a lot of work to be done to encourage students to join your ranks.
When a class starts, Imagine Teacher gives you the opportunity to play a mini-game. Writing instruction involves a straightforward word game. Spinning a wheel prompts an incomplete word to appear which you complete by filling in the missing letter. When the word "App_e" was listed, we of course scribbled an "l" on the touch screen to create the word "Apple". Obviously the mini-games are geared toward a younger audience that can benefit from the simple educational format.
The mini-games included in Imagine Teacher are generally educational, which is great as the gamer can learn whilst having fun.
Some mini-games featured in Imagine Teacher are purely skill based. During drawing for example, you are given a crayon, you must colour-in a blank sketch with the correct colour scheme and without crossing the lines.
When class ends, your job continues. As with any real teacher, Imagine Teacher gives you the painful experience of marking homework assignments.

Correcting school work means uncapping your red pen and marking up incorrect answers. Papers scroll on the touch screen and offer a yes/no option for whether an answer is correct. As a teacher, you're expected to excel at grading so doing well is critical in keeping your job.
Imagine Teacher features a variety of mini-games, objectives, multiplayer options, and marking exercises, so should keep young 6-14 year old girls occupied for weeks on end!
